Three years ago, this Whipped Coffee was ALL the rage on social media. Everyone was making it and trying to find it at local coffee shops.
Using instant coffee for the base is what this recipe begins with, ending with a caramel drizzle.
This coffee drink is SO inexpensive to do, in comparison to buying it from a coffee shop or Starbucks. I am way to frugal to buy coffee daily, so making it at home is the best way to save money.
Whipped Coffee Ingredients
2 Tbsp instant coffee
2 Tbsp Sugar
1 cup milk
2 Tbsp HOT water
1 Tbsp flavored syrup
1/3 cup coffee creamer (optional)
Whipped Coffee Directions
Heat 2 Tbsp water in a microwavable dish until hot.
To make sure there was enough water after heating it up, microwave 3 Tbsp for one minute and then measured out the needed 2 Tbsp.
In the bowl of a KitchenAid mixer, add 2 Tbsp HOT water.
Add 2 Tbsp sugar to the hot water.
Add 2 Tbsp instant coffee to the water and sugar.
Insert the whisk attachment, lock the KitchenAid mixer, plug it in and turn slowly to high whisking until stiff; around 3-5 minutes if necessary.
While the coffee is whisking, grab a glass and add syrup flavor if using.
Then add ice cubes to the glass and fill half with milk or 1/3 cup coffee creamer if you are using it.
When the coffee has stiff peaks and fully whisked, pour on top of the milk in the glass.
Use a spatula to help scoop all of the whipped coffee amazingness out of the bowl and into the prepared cup.
