Make your own 1000 Island Dressing and Skip an Emergency Trip to the Store!
How to make 1000 Island Dressing from scratch with ingredients you have in your pantry and fridge. This recipe with more flavor!
Ingredients
- 1 cup Mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup Sweet Relish
- 1/4 cup Sweet Relish
- 1 Tbsp White Vinegar
- 1 Tbsp White Sugar
- 1 Tbsp Garlic minced
- 1/2 Onion minced
- 1/8 tsp Pepper
- 1/2 tsp Salt
Instructions
- Into a measuring cup, measure and then add 1 cup mayonnaise to a bowl.
- Measure and then add 1/4 cup sweet relish to the mayonnaise in the bowl.
- To the bowl, measure and then add 1/4 cup ketchup.
- Then add 1 Tablespoon white vinegar to the bowl.
- Next, add 1 Tablespoon white sugar to the bowl with the other ingredients for the 1000 Island Dressing.
- Then add 1 Tablespoon minced garlic to the bowl.
- Dice 1/2 an onion, or as close to 2-4 Tablespoons, and then add it to the bowl.
- Add 1/8 teaspoon pepper and 1/2 teaspoon salt to the ingredients in the bowl.
- Once all ingredients are added to the bowl, stir them well.
- Once all of the ingredients are mixed well, add the 1000 Island Dressing to a bowl and store it in the fridge for 1 hour, allowing the flavors to blend and combine well.
- When done, and ready to use, remove the jar from the fridge and use it with your recipe.
