Cost to make this Gluten Free Pizza Crust
Making a pizza crust that is Gluten Free does not have to be difficult or super expensive. There are a few ways to make it Gluten Free, and this blog will walk you through one of those.
Finding a Gluten Free crust that is not over seven dollars can be difficult, especially if it is premade. So, to cut the cost of the crust, making it yourself helps. With this recipe, Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free Pizza Crust was used and the cost is $4.49.
Adding the 2 eggs and oil brings the total cost to $5.25 max for three Gluten Free Pizza Crusts that you don’t have to be sick over later. Literally.
With a cost of $5.25, each of the three pizza crusts comes to $1.75. For Gluten Free, that is entirely reasonable and manageable.
Past Recipes
In the past, a homemade Gluten Free Pizza Crust was blogged, However, this recipe turned out gummy and, in my opinion, not great. This was my first experience making my own recipe for a pizza crust, and I wanted a recipe that was not gummy but moist and fluffy.
This recipe, however, using a Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free crust mix is amazing. The crust is fluffy, tastes great, and is easy to make. Plus, the price is great at under two dollars for each crust, if making three out of the mix.

Gluten Free Pizza Crust Ingredients
1 1/2 cups Warm Water
2 Eggs
2 Tbsp Olive Oil
Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free Pizza Crust Mix
Gluten Free Pizza Crust Directions
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and then mix with a spatula until thoroughly combined.
The dough will be very sticky at this point, just keep your hands moist with water or oil while working with it at this point.
Leave the dough in the bowl and cover it with plastic wrap for 20 minutes.
While the dough is rising, preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit, then oil two pizza pans or place parchment paper on baking stones if using, set aside.
Personally, using metal pizza pans that are sprayed with nonstick spray helps to shape and manipulate the dough. Then, once you have the shape, transfer the dough to the parchment paper lined baking stones. Baking stones truly give the best results when making pizza crust.

Turn out the dough onto an oiled pan and then divide the dough into two or three equal parts. As it was just me eating the pizza, three pieces the dough was made into. Then, each can be tailored to a specific taste and toppings.

Use your hands and gently press out the dough towards the edges of the pan. This, by far, has been the easiest and most effective way to form a pizza dough. I’ve been doing it this way for at least ten years. Gently press down into the dough and press outwards to the edges of the pan shaping the dough as you go.

Cover the pizza crusts with sauce and then top with toppings.
Bake the Gluten Free Pizzas for 15-18 minutes, until crust is golden brown.
Remove the pizza from the oven and let it rest for 3 minutes before serving.

Egg Free Variation
If you cannot have eggs for any reason, you can also use flaxseed as an egg replacement. Below are the directions to use flaxseed as a replacement.
Egg Free Variation Directions
Combine 2 tbsp flaxseed meal and 6 tbsp water; let stand 1 minute.
Add to recipe as you would the eggs.
