Instructions
Place the Ribeye steak onto a plate and then put into the freezer for 30 to 60-minutes.
Thinly slice an onion and set aside in a bowl to be cooked later.
Slice a pepper thin and then add it to the bowl of onions.
Heat 2 Tablespoons butter in a large skillet on medium-high heat.
Dump onions and peppers into hot skillet with melted butter and cook until soft, stirring often, around 10 minutes.
Place cooked onions and peppers in a bowl and then set aside.
Remove steak from freezer and then slice 1/4 to 1/2 inch thin.
Heat skillet to high and then add 1 Tablespoon oil.
Place sliced steak into hot skillet and stir until browned roughly around 2 to 3-minutes.
Warm a griddle and then butter insides of rolls.
Sprinkle garlic powder over the buttered side of the rolls and toast on the skillet or use the broiler and then toast them in the oven.
Replace the cooked onions and peppers to the steak and then stir to combine.
Season with salt and pepper.
Finally, serve over toasted hot rolls with cheese.
