Wash the Brussel Sprouts in a sink colander and then using a knife, cut the ends off of the sprouts.
Once the ends are cut off, as they get browned, cut the Brussel Sprouts in half. Doing so helps them to cook much better than being whole.
Place the cut Brussel Sprouts into a steamer basket in a medium pot with 1-2 inches of water in the bottom and then cook on medium-high for 5-7 minutes.
As the sprouts steam, spray a baking sheet with non-stick spray, or you can also choose to lay a sheet of aluminum foil on the baking sheet for easier clean up.
Once the sprouts are cooked, the color will become bright and vibrant green.
Then take off the lid and turn off the heat.
Place the steamed Brussel Sprouts onto the prepared baking dish and then flip them so they are all cut side down.
If desired, season the sprouts with salt, pepper and garlic powder, or whichever seasoning you desire.
Bake the sprouts for 10-15 minutes, or until browned.
Notes
Feel free to season with extra salt once they are fully baked.
